Making energy systems programmable for developers.
We're building the shared developer infrastructure that helps software and AI applications understand, interact with and safely optimize everyday energy systems.
Explore the technology ↗Build with us ↗Energy intelligence should not begin with rebuilding every integration.
A developer trying to build a solar assistant, battery dashboard or energy recommendation service first has to reconcile fragmented data providers, device-specific measurements, missing history, unreliable timestamps and uncertain permissions. These problems repeat across projects.
EnergyChain approaches this as a developer-infrastructure problem. Instead of building an end-user national-grid controller or replacing existing energy hardware platforms, we provide composable Python abstractions for energy objects, connectors, memory, tools, agents, fleets and workflows.
Use familiar code patterns, typed values, local simulation and replaceable components to build energy-aware applications.
Agent-selected actions remain bounded by declared tools, authorization scopes and source evidence. Physical control is disabled by default.
The developer layer between energy data and useful intelligence.
We envision a world where a developer can build battery-runtime guidance, solar insights, energy-cost comparisons or multi-site observations without reinventing the underlying energy semantics. Our long-term goal is an open, extensible developer ecosystem in which hardware connectivity, reasoning, memory and carefully authorized actions can be composed without vendor lock-in.
SDKs, clear abstractions, extensible connectors and approachable guides.
Reading timestamps, origin, measured-versus-estimated labels, and explicit uncertainty.
Use an application-provided model while leaving numerical calculations to deterministic tools.
Read-only insights first, then appropriately governed operations when equipment has been verified.
What we're working on
EnergyChain v0.1 expands beyond its first simulator
The current development branch introduces typed topology, energy memory and episodes, read-only adapters, scoped fleets, bounded agents, telemetry validation, advisory scheduling and stronger approvals. It is alpha software, not a field-certified control platform.

A structured learning journey covers the core SDK, connectors, memory, tools, agents, data provenance, security and practical operational integration boundaries.
Follow the learning path ↗We will publish future research and milestones as features are validated. There are no fabricated customer metrics or unverified performance claims here.
Build, integrate or test EnergyChain with us.
We are interested in conversations with energy-software developers, teams with consented solar/battery data, research collaborators and operators who can support a read-only, measurable pilot. We especially value honest feedback about data contracts, missing capabilities and developer usability.
Describe what your application does, the type of equipment or data source involved, whether you own or have permission to access the data, and what a successful pilot would prove.
Help make energy systems easier to build with.
