Developer signup privacy notice

Last updated: October 29, 2026.

This notice describes how EnergyChain handles information submitted on its developer early-access signup and demo-request pages. EnergyChain is a developer infrastructure project; signup does not create a paid account.

What we collect

Your email address, selected role and use case, optional project description, opt-in preferences, signup time and source, and a one-way keyed digest of connection information used for basic abuse diagnostics.

Demo request details

When you request a product walkthrough, we collect your name, email address, optional organization, intended use case, development stage, optional description, submission source and contact consent. We use these details to review your requirements and arrange a conversation about the product. A demo request does not subscribe you to developer newsletters or marketing updates.

Why we use it

We use this information to maintain the early-access list, send SDK and service-access messages you request, understand developer demand, respond to demo requests, and coordinate follow-up communications. Optional general developer updates are separate from early-access communication.

Where it is stored

Signup and demo request records are encrypted by the application before storage on Vercel Blob. Email delivery and team notifications may use Brevo when configured. The encryption key is not included in the stored record. Access to records is restricted to authorized administrators. Like most infrastructure platforms, hosting and email providers may process data in other countries.

Choice, retention and requests

You may decline signup or optional general marketing. We intend to retain signup information only while the early-access list is active or while needed to honor your opt-in and requests, then remove it. You may request access, correction, removal or to stop receiving messages using the contact route linked below. Once automated mailing is configured, campaign emails must offer an unsubscribe mechanism.

Security

We limit collection, validate submissions, and encrypt stored records. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Contact

Use the EnergyChain founder by email for privacy and data questions. Do not include confidential passwords or device credentials in a signup description.

Anonymous website and SDK analytics

EnergyChain collects page paths, approximate entry referrer domains and short-lived anonymous browser-tab identifiers to understand website traffic. We do not put cookies in browsers for these measurements, nor intentionally record IP addresses or query parameters in analytics records. We respect Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control browser signals. We also count website API requests and outcomes without storing request contents in telemetry events. Public PyPI download statistics provide aggregate SDK download signals, not individual user counts. SDK runtime activity is collected only where a developer explicitly opts in to a separate telemetry example; no SDK telemetry is enabled by default. We also measure approximate active time on public pages while a tab is visible and recently interacted with; long idle periods and hidden tabs are excluded. Engagement reports use anonymous tab identifiers, not names, IP addresses, or URLs with query parameters. Measurements begin when this feature is deployed and can be incomplete when browsers block tracking. Analytics data are encrypted in private Vercel Blob storage. Contact the EnergyChain team to request deletion or information about retention.
